DONATING TO THE HUCK FINN PARK PROJECT
The Leadville Skatepark Project is in the beginning stages of developing a top-notch concrete skatepark that will provide a safe and positive venue for Leadville youth. In order to construct a park that is commensurate in quality with the top recreational facilities in Lake County we need your help. We are asking the Leadville Community to GO BIG and make this goal a reality. With further development of recreational facilities in the near-by vicinity on the horizon, we hope to continue making Leadville one of the premier recreational towns in Colorado. The anticipated goal is to create a skate park that is highly durable, conveniently monitored, easily maintained, and one that plays an instrumental role in providing exceptional opportunities for youth in Leadville.
UPDATE: As of April 2012, we have nearly raised $325,000! Our goal of $870,000 includes the skatepark, ice rink warming hut, the tennis courts, and a sidewalk that will connect these areas together. We are currently busy writing grants and any financial support that you can give will be very appreciated. Your support is critical in leveraging the funding from these granting agencies.
